Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto is now being feted as a modern 'Helen of Troy' by Vanity Fair magazine, which is conducting a poll to find the world's most beautiful woman.
The magazine has given out a list of 19 names, out of which one will be adjudged the world's most beautiful woman. Although names of Hollywood superstars like Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman are missing, Freida has found a place on the list.
'Of the billions of women on this planet, only 19, we believe, could start wars. These modern-day Helens of Troy come from both hemispheres and include legends and ingenues,' said the magazine.

The play Vagina Monologues held its 200th show on March 25 in Mumbai's Tata theatre, NCPA. The programme was called V Day India 2009, V as in Victory. Since it was a special anniversary show, quite a few Bollywood stars took to the stage, supporting women issues.

Shilpa Shetty has credited late Jade Goody with making her a star in Britain.
The Bollywood stunner and the TV celebrity appeared on Big Brother in 2007, where Goody sparked thousands of complaints from viewers for her allegedly racist abuse of Shetty.
Jade Goody passed away on Sunday after a highly publicised battle with cervical cancer. She was 27.
Shilpa Shetty said it was "destiny" for the pair to work together again on that show, but added: 'We didn't get a chance to bury the hatchet.
'We kind of moved on with our lives. Every time her name was taken (mentioned), my name would be taken and the whole racism issue would be raked up... we had this weird connect in a strange way.'
Shilpa Shetty said she last spoke to Jade Goody two days before the British star got married in February, adding: 'She led a very short life, but she's seen it all, she's seen the highs, the lows, she's had children at such a young age, she's married.'

Following the success of Slumdog, which took home eight Oscars and whose worldwide box office receipts so far are estimated at over $ 270 million, the Indian model-turned-actress has landed a series of lucrative roles with top directors, including Woody Allen and Julian Schnabel.
According to a report, Freida Pinto has pushed ahead of her colleagues Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, to become the highest paid actress in India.
